Dr Marian Corrigan

Dr Marian Corrigan is a founding member of Vela Microboard’s Northern Ireland and is currently Chair of the organisation. A social worker by profession, Marian was Assistant Director of Social Services with the former Southern Health and Social Services Board. Throughout her career Marian has been at the forefront of innovative work including the development and promotion of person centred planning, direct payments and user involvement. Marian has worked in adult services, including disability for most of her career and is committed to ensuring that individuals regardless of their circumstances attain their potential as full citizens within society.



Jacqueline Magee

Jacqueline Magee is the Secretary of Vela Microboard’s Northern Ireland, Jacqueline works for the Health and Social Care Board.



Feargal McCormack

Treasurer

Feargal McCormack, is Treasurer of Vela Microboard’s NI Ltd and is the father of Seamus (aged 17), who has a Vela Microboard. Feargal is Managing Partner of FPM Chartered Accountants, and a former Chairman of the Ulster Society of Chartered Accountants.

Feargal is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Ulster Business School and Chairman of Chartered Accountants Ireland NAMA Forum. Feargal is also a member of NI CBI Regional Council and a Patron of Special Olympics Ireland.



Suzanne McStravick

Suzanne spent almost 20 years living and working in England and Scotland before returning to live in Northern Ireland in 2007. Over the twenty years her journey has included working in institutional and residential care in the earlier years before working with Inclusion Glasgow who have been responsible for setting up some of the most innovative Supported Living services in the UK. Suzanne also worked as a Consultant for Paradigm, a leading human service consultancy and development organisation and latterly worked in Scotland to develop Independent Advocacy Services and is qualified as an Integrative Counsellor 



Susan Taylor

Susan is committed to the concept of empowering individuals (through appropriate information and support), to improve the quality of life for both people with ill health and disability and their carers. Before joining Vela Microboard’s in 2003, Susan worked with a variety of groups of people in the community. She sat on the committee of Crossroads Caring for Carers and worked as a volunteer for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
